Paws for Thought
Sadly, not all moggies receive the love, care and attention they deserve. Below are some of the charities I support, who do a fantastic job in looking after our less fortunate feline friends, both big and small:
Bath Cats and Dogs Home
Bath Cats and Dogs Home is a registered charity based at Claverton Down, near the University of Bath. It is one of the largest re-homing centres in the UK with over 2,500 unwanted cats, dogs and small animals relying upon it every year. In the 67 years since the establishment began literally tens of thousands of local animals have been saved from cruelty, homelessness and destruction.

Cats Protection
Formed in 1927, Cats Protection (CP) has grown to become the UK's leading feline welfare charity. It now cares for and finds new homes for around 60,000 cats and kittens every year, through its network of 29 adoption centres and 260 voluntary-run branches. It is Cats Protection mission to help unwanted and abandoned felines, rehabilitating and re-homing them where possible.
PDSA (People's Dispensary for Sick Animals)
PDSA is the UK's leading veterinary charity, caring for the pets of people in need. They provide free veterinary treatment to more than 4,650 sick and injured animals every working day and promote responsible pet ownership.
WWF (World Wildlife Fund)
The WWF is the world's largest and most experienced independent conservation organisation, working in more than 90 countries to address many issues, from the survival of species and habitats to climate change, sustainable business and environmental education.
WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals)
For 25 years, the WSPA has aimed to promote the concept of animal welfare in regions of the world where there are few, if any, measures to protect animals.
Avon Wildlife Trust
Avon Wildlife Trust is the largest membership-based wildlife organisation in the area, dedicated to promoting and protecting wildlife.
